stay young
We had a few beautiful days! I feel like I can take on the world now =). I hope you all got a chance to enjoy the weather because its going to be bad for a few days. Im getting the hiking itch already so I fully expect to have some snowy pictures of moutaintops for you all in the coming weeks, check back soon!
Other then this Ive just been studying, learning, waiting… pretty boring actually. One of my cousins recently got divorced that was rough.
I have something to say on the subject of relationships and commitment. There is no real secret to a loving lasting relationship as far as I have seen, the trick is finding someone you can have a lasting relationship with. I have been with a number of women, most of whom had some interesting feature that attracted me but soon enough I found something important that would sour my view of them. The key is to not look for money, sex appeal, convenience, status, other peoples views, what matters is that you find someone you would want as your best friend. Someone who may be different then you or may be very similar but who you are able to develop a special bond with. Finishing sentences, knowing when they are sad or happy, someone who you want desperately to make happy and who wants to do the same for you. Someone who would go to a baseball game even though they hate baseball just to hang with you. Someone who would go to the ballet even though its boring and homosexual. It is out there but if you settle for good enough you may never have that joy and you may find that good enough was only good enough at that time and not good enough anymore. Divorce is not the product of any one action by an offending party, instead it is the product of a long line of bad choices of which becoming married was the most obvious.
Thats not to say that two people who are married that do not have this bond are doomed. It can be cultivated. Some of the most interesting friends I have ever had were at one time enemies. If both are willing to put some elbow grease into it amazing things can happen. Like Jesus said ‘faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.’
well thats it for now. check back in a few weeks I should have some great pictures up.
